Cross Ice NYSHL Mites & NEGHL

All games are played at NorthStar Ice Sports in Westboro MA. Games for the NSYHL are played 4 vs 4 in a Half Ice format with Intermediate sized nets for goalies and Blue pucks. The league holds two parity round adjustments (October & November) to determine appropriate team placement to ensure competitive balance within each age division.

U8 Tier 1 plays in the Mite Division and U8 Tier 2 plays in the Mite Dev division.

The U8 American division in the NEGHL is a jamboree style schedule. Each week a program within the NEGHL is a host site. Usually, the jamborees are on Saturdays and anywhere from 2-6 teams participate in the jamborees. The games are cross-ice style with mini nets and player changes on buzzers. There are no playoffs for this age group in the NEGHL. 

The U8 National division of the NEGHL is a step up from the jamboree style. This division has a set schedule for weekly games against league opponents with home and away games. Games are ¾ ice or full ice. Use of mini nets or regulation nets is decided between the two coaching staffs prior to the game. There is playoffs for this division in the NEGHL. 

Worcester White Hawk players are on the ice 3x per week. In addition to league games, teams will practice 2 times per week at Worcester Ice Center.

NYSHL Cross-Ice teams will play between 22-25 NorthStar Youth Hockey League regular season games and playoffs. Games are on Saturday or Sunday and Monday school holidays.

NEGHL Jamborees will take place at different host sites for American division and home and away games for National Division

Worcester White Hawks teams may play in additional games or in-season tournaments not included in tuition.
